Forged in Yardley

Busy with Jeeps these past few months. I got the siren working on the M38A1, checked the valves, and finished some other small maintenance items. I ended up having to replace the ‘63 CJ5’s water pump. A bit more work than expected especially with the heat. A lot of sandblasting and degreaser later, original oil bath air cleaner is back on the ‘63 Jeep CJ5. It took way longer to get all the buildup cleaned out then I expected. Well this was an unexpected first. Never thought I’d ever rebuild a camera lens. Bought this Nikon FE2 recently and the lens had what looked like fungus inside of it. I watched a YouTube video on it and it didn’t look that difficult so I gave it a shot. Turned out great. Easier than I expected, except for cleaning dust out. Hardest part was figuring out what tiny screws went where. Pics are on my other page @victor.fiori Front differential is done. Now to do the rear. Pretty bad looking.
